Project Overview

About the Company

iyzico is a leading fintech company in Turkey, founded in 2013 to simplify complex online payment processes for businesses of all sizes. In 2019, it was acquired by PayU, a global payment giant. Today, iyzico continues to democratize financial services, making secure and accessible payment experiences possible for millions of users and merchants.

Problem

I started my journey at iyzico as a Marketing & Brand Designer. My main responsibility was to ensure visual consistency across brand identity, corporate materials, and marketing communication. However, as the company grew rapidly, there was a growing need for a strong, consistent design language on the product side as well.

Goal

While maintaining the visual integrity of the brand, my goal was to shift my design approach from aesthetics to usability and experience.

My Role

  • Creating and implementing iyzico’s brand identity

  • Managing marketing design (events, campaigns, printed materials)

  • Collaborating with the product team on early UI explorations, marking the beginning of my transition into product design.

Process

Brand Identity

I designed iyzico’s logo and corporate identity to reflect the balance of trust and modernity essential in the fintech world. This visual language strengthened brand recognition across both digital and offline touchpoints.

Marketing & Events

I was responsible for all internal and external communication materials. This included event booklets, campaign visuals, launch graphics, and stage designs used in international fintech events, ensuring consistent brand visibility and professionalism.

Transition to Product

As iyzico formed its first UI & UX team under the same roof as the tech and development teams, I joined as the designer who knew the brand best, though new to product design. I began by contributing UI elements, and gradually started creating wireframes and layouts for product and feature landing pages across mobile and web. This period marked my first significant step from graphic design to product design.

Outcome & Impact

  • iyzico’s brand identity became one of the most trusted and recognizable in Turkey’s fintech ecosystem.

  • Marketing and event materials enhanced brand visibility and credibility on both local and global stages.

  • For me personally, this journey marked the beginning of my transition into understanding user needs and designing for digital experiences.
